We are back from Carson Springs, TN
Lindsey, Jacey, and I just returned from AMF's Regional Conference in TN this past week. We really enjoyed a great time of fellowship with our AMF family- including my parents, Gordon and Debby Anderson, who now serve as the National Directors for AMF. Rich Cundall, pastor of the Hessell Church in CA, served as the Conference Speaker and was greatly used by God to speak into the lives of us missionaries and also the Mission as a whole. He also commented that, after playing a pickup game of bball with the missionaries, that Lindsey really had game. Rich has a deep background in bball that includes playing overseas and nationally. I won't tell you what he through of my "game."
Please pray for us as we prepare for a very involved month of October and November. We will be starting several new ministries and would really appreciate your partnership with us.
Lindsey also climbed a 50 ft. tall climbing wall!!! Pictures are on their way.

STAR DALLAS Day #3 Report!!!
STAR and KFC Ministry Partners
We are in our 3rd Day of STAR DALLAS #1. God is moving in and through our Team in incredible ways. Yesterday was our first day of KFC Bible Clubs. One in the morning with Urban Action and another in the afternoon at the house of Prairie Creek Baptist Church’s Pastor, Norm Taylor. Two kids came to Christ yesterday morning at Urban Action during our huddle time! Praise the Lord!
Between all the KFC Day Camps we did a great deal of walking as we canvassed the neighborhoods close to the Day camps. We walked, talked, and prayed with several people. All together we canvassed 3 different times in 3 different communities yesterday! The third being our evening outreach through Cornerstone Baptist Church.
Here is what I am excited to see the most going into the 3rd Day:
1- Our Children coming to Christ!
2- The STAR Training Days’ impact on the way the Team is preparing, sharing, and understanding the message (lesson, verse, songs, huddles)! Props to all of our great “STAR” Trainers.
3- Canvassing the communities (preparing the Harvest- planting the seeds) that we are not only serving in this week but also throughout the summer through STAR DALLAS 2, 3, and 4!
4- My own passion for Reaching the Lost being challenged- Pray that I will be able to balance directing these STAR Mission Teams and at the same time-take the time to get down on the level of those we are reaching and actually –reach them. I took that challenge yesterday and really had a “fulfilled” ministry.
Pray! Pray! Pray!- I am leaving to join the Team in an hour!
(STAR DALLAS weeks allow me to stay home with my awesome family!)

Destiny Fulfilled!
Last night one of our KFC Servant Leaders led Destiny to Christ! PTL! Destiny comes every Tuesday night and has finally put her faith in Jesus Christ to save her from her sins! PTL!
Please also pray for Quindeline who is afraid of the CPS taking her away from her grandparents. She is a very sweet girl and was buddies with Suzy who prayed with her last night during Huddle groups.
The Rec Dir. at Roseland Homes quit last Friday so please be in prayer for his replacement. KFC went really well last night despite the staffing changes. We have started a new Lesson Series on the life and ministry of Paul. CEF has put that curriculum on power point and it worked really well last night.
fyi- we just found the cord that links our camera to our laptop so I will update our new pics soon.

AMF Ministry Partners
Open doors. Open doors. Open doors. It seems to me that we are continually sharing with you about doors God is opening for us here in Dallas for our AMF Ministries. Last week was a great example of God opening doors. Monroe Evangelical Free Church (MEFC) of Nebraska flew one of their student interns to Dallas to see and meet with me and our ministries here in Dallas in preparation for their STAR DALLAS 3 Mission Trip this summer. Levi Anderson and I put together a schedule for their Mission Team and then made a list of all the places that we needed to visit and video tape while he was in Dallas.
To convert two days of non-stop meetings and surveying allow me to share a list of places that we will were able to set up and that you can earnestly pray for:
North Dallas- Roseland Recreation Center- Teen Outreach, Community Outreach, and 5-Day Sports Camp
South Dallas- Exline Recreation Center- Teen Outreach and Community Outreach
West Dallas- West Dallas Community Church Recreation Center- Teen Outreach and Community Outreach
Pleasant Grove (South East Dallas)- Fireside Recreation Center- Teen Outreach and Community Outreach
Most of these outreaches will take place in communities where we already have and/or currently minister. What is so amazing is that places like Fireside, West Dallas Community Church, and others had never heard of us before, yet “jumped” all over the idea of us coming to reach their community. We will be assembling Teams to help the MEFC during their STAR DALLAS M-trip. We will have two STAR DALLAS Trips with 2 Teams each and another 1 Trip with 2 Teams afterward to help prep the areas and also sustain their impact. Please pray for the MEFC Mission Team and the incredible amount of work it will take to prepare their Team for this incredible Outreach on the horizon this summer.
Here in about 5 minutes I will also be leaving to go and direct a Mission Team here in Dallas that was looking for somewhere to serve in Dallas from 2-5pm. We made a call yesterday and set them up to work at the Boys and Girls Club in East Dallas. Please pray that God will continue to open doors for us and that He will also give us the faith to walk through them. Pray also for tonight's KFC Ministry at Roseland. It had been raining non stop and is forecasted not to stop until tomorrow morning. We now have a rain or shine policy for weather like this. Please pray for our tenacity!
Thanks for Keeping Up with us- in prayer,
Joe, Lindsey, and Jacey

Spring Wish List
Here is what we sincerely need prayer/provision for this coming Spring:
1- More Salvations through Christ in our Kids For Christ and Teens For Christ ministries (read today's Encourager)
2- 2 God-Appointed men who will serve alongside, Rosemont's TFC leader, Dan Chambers in our KFC Life House at Rosemont (check out http://www.kfclifehouse.blogspot.com/). We miracluously have the funding for the ministry and a pointman to lead it- we just need two more men to support and serve in leadership roles. This is a huge faith adventure and definitely a God-thing and a God-dream. Please pray!!!
3- We will be raising another $3200 this Spring to bring 20 of our KFC and TFC kids to camp. We are planning on selecting the 5 "best" teens and 5 best kids from Roseland and Rosemont to go to camp this year. We raised $3036 last year. We will send more information asap.
4- I am currently finalizing plans to purchase a 15 passenger van to be used for transporting our KFC Servant Leaders to and from KFC each week. We mentioned a few weeks ago that we had too many leaders and not enough wheels to get them to KFC. This van, along with a 24 passenger bus our church is purchasing, will be a huge help in solving this challenge we have had since we restarted KFC 3 years ago this month.
5- All 4 of our STAR Mission Trips for this summer are full(2 Mission Teams per week).
We are also working on confirming a MT for a STAR Mission trip to New Orleans and the Rio Grande Valley. Please pray for the training and prep that will go into each of these MTs and trips.
Thank You for Praying for our ministries.

AMF Ministry Partners - "True Grit!"
True Grit. We re-started our KFC, TFC, and Homemakers for Christ ministries this week. We finished 2007 with a BANG- in more ways than one- through the huge help provided by the Crosspoint STAR Mission Team from GBC, Axcent Networks, All Nations Fellowship, MBC, and PDD. Y’all all received the Encourager report that I sent after the dust settled- God is Great! I am still in awe of how He brought all of us together that week and reached hundreds of people for Christ. We could take the rest of the day and as much “electronic ink” as possible to attempt to share all that took place but I guess that is what “blogs” are for- scroll down on ours to read of what happened http://www.starfirenews.blogspot.com/
Tuesday night (January 15-208), as we knocked on doors and picked up our kids and teens, one of our KFC moms asked, “I thought y’all weren’t coming back?! After what happened, I thought they ran you off?!”
The last night of the Mission Trip (Wed.) we passed out all the gifts to the kids and teens. We had way over what we had planned for- even though I knew that it would be big. According to what I had found out later (short version), some of the teens came in to where the teen’s gifts were being stored and grabbed some before they were supposed to be given out and left- only to return and try to get more. We were able to sort through the situation being that we had police on duty, and rec. center staff present.
I responded, “It would take a clear act of God to get us out of this community- because there were several acts that got us here!” What we (Our Servant Leaders) do each week some twice- Roseland and Rosemont- a week takes “True Grit.” KFC and/or TFC is never easy, but is sure is good!
Thursday night I only had about four of our kids on my route! The reason being all the others ran themselves up to the clubhouse before we got back! We had a packed room full of teens eager to hear from Dan Chambers. Dan started, “The Hope” video series last night which takes you through the main lessons of the Bible and the Ultimate Fulfillment of the Hope! The kids did great last night as well. I really enjoyed walking one of our KFC girls home and carrying on a conversation with her about what she likes most about KFC. We have some really special teens and kids in our ministries.
Please pray for:
Our new KFC Life and Life House ministries as we prepare to move into the Rosemont community with our ministry interns lead by Dan Chambers.
Re-starting our KFC and TFC Ministries at Roseland and Rosemont-sustained impact as we follow up from our Dec. Mission Trip
Homemakers For Christ Bible Study- We are seeing some real breakthrough in those who attend. We will be in Romans 12 next Wed. morning. We finished our Bible Study two days ago with the Doxology in chapter 11.
I would like to finish this Encourager the same way:
“Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom of God! How unsearchable His judgments and His paths beyond tracing out! Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been His counselor? Who has ever given to God that God should repay him? For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever! Amen.”
Romans 11:33-36
